Executive Summary
Chandra Subramanian is CEO of Deda.ai at Dedagroup, a role he has held since January 2019, working from New Brunswick, New Jersey. Deda.ai brings AI-driven decision intelligence to distributors and manufacturers — businesses that sit on large volumes of transactional data about demand, pricing, and inventory but typically lack the analytical capability to act on it in time. He also serves on the board of Dedasphere and invests in early-stage startups. Over more than 25 years he has worked at the junction of AI, enterprise systems, and financial services technology, including a decade at Quinnox, a company of his own, and a board advisory role at ORS Group, the AI and operational research firm Dedagroup later acquired and rebranded as Deda AI.

Professional Journey
Subramanian trained in physics and mathematics at the University of Mumbai before taking a Master’s in Computer Applications at the Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute, and began his career as a Senior Consultant at Tata Consultancy Services in 1993. In 2000 he founded NeoTech Software Solutions, which he grew to $3 million in revenue by its second year serving institutional asset managers, securing preferred-vendor status with three Fortune 500 companies and a multi-year contract with New York’s MTA.
He joined Quinnox in 2004 and spent a decade there across three increasingly senior roles, a progression that traces the standard arc of the IT services industry from delivery to commercial leadership. As Service Delivery Head he ran a 300-person outsourcing partnership with a global bank, directly managing twenty staff delivering core banking, internet banking, and derivatives solutions. He moved to Vice President of Sales for Capital Markets in 2007, where he delivered 100% year-over-year growth across two years — an achievement whose timing matters, since that period covers the financial crisis, when most vendors selling into capital markets were contracting rather than doubling. He then took over the Financial Services vertical in 2012 with P&L responsibility spanning derivatives, core banking, payments, and treasury technology.
After Quinnox he led Indra’s Financial Services business for North America, then moved toward AI and data companies: Head of Sales at Semantify, an advisor to Koopid, and, from 2014 to 2018, a Board Advisor to ORS Group, the AI and operational research software firm. He completed IE Business School’s Global Senior Management Programme in 2013.
He became CEO of Deda.ai at Dedagroup in January 2019 — notably before Dedagroup’s staged acquisition of ORS Group, which moved from 20% in 2021 to 51% in 2022 and to full ownership in 2025, with ORS eventually rebranded as Deda AI. His earlier board advisory relationship with ORS therefore connects him to both sides of that eventual combination. At Deda.ai his focus is making decision intelligence usable by distributors and manufacturers, sectors where margins are thin enough that better forecasting and pricing decisions translate directly into results, and where analytical sophistication has historically lagged financial services by a wide margin.
