Sink earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in accounting from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, according to Lowe’s. Before joining the retailer he held finance and accounting leadership roles at Deloitte and Nucor Corporation.

In March 2021 he became senior vice president of retail finance, overseeing finance for stores, merchandising, supply chain, omnichannel and marketing and partnering with the business on strategy and performance. As of 30 January 2026 Lowe’s operated 1,759 home improvement stores and outlets in the U.S. and more than 540 branch locations in the U.S. and Canada, including those of Foundation Building Materials and Artisan Design Group, which it acquired in 2025, according to its 10-K.
