Aseem Bakshi is the Founder and CEO of Webomates, a Stamford, Connecticut company that provides an AI-powered, cloud-based software testing platform (Testing-as-a-Service). He founded the company around 2015, following a career spanning more than two decades across media, telecom, and finance technology, with the goal of significantly cutting the time and cost software teams spend finding defects before release.

Career Highlights

Bakshi began his career at Philips Electronics in the mid-1990s, spending roughly seven years there and earning an Emmy Award for Advancement of TV Technology. He then moved into technical leadership roles at IPC Systems, Inc., a trading-floor communications technology provider, before joining SeaChange International, a media and video-delivery technology company. At SeaChange, Bakshi worked across engineering and product management turnarounds before becoming General Manager of the company’s advertising division, where he held profit-and-loss responsibility for a roughly $60 million business. He is a named inventor on multiple U.S. patents assigned to both SeaChange International and IPC Systems.

Bakshi went on to co-found Psychability Inc., a media audience-analytics company applying big-data and data-science techniques to audience insight, before launching Webomates as his second startup. Under his leadership, Webomates built a patented AI testing platform — including automated test-case generation, execution, and maintenance branded as AiHealing — used by enterprise customers such as Equifax, Rackspace, and Priceline. He co-founded Webomates alongside Ruchika Gupta, who serves as the company’s COO.

Education

Bakshi holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Product Management from the NYU Stern School of Business, reportedly completed between 2004 and 2006. Some public profiles also describe him as holding a master’s degree in computer science, though the specific institution isn’t independently confirmed.
