Executive Summary
Antoine Scalia is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Cryptio, which builds the accounting, audit and tax infrastructure that regulated institutions need before they can hold and transact digital assets at scale. The problem Cryptio addresses is unglamorous and structural: a single institution’s crypto activity is scattered across blockchains, exchanges, custodians and brokerages, each with its own data format and none of which produces records an auditor will accept. Cryptio ingests all of it, reconciles it, and outputs audit-ready books, which is the precondition for banks, stablecoin issuers and asset managers entering the market at all. Scalia founded the company in 2018 with Alexandre Bourgeus, shortly after finishing business school in Paris, and has built it to more than 400 enterprise customers in over 30 countries, with roughly 3 trillion US dollars of cumulative transaction volume processed and a 45 million US dollar Series B raised in March 2026.

Professional Journey
Scalia founded Cryptio in 2018, not long after graduating from business school in Paris, and it is the only company he has run. The timing matters: 2018 was the point at which institutions began seriously examining digital assets and immediately ran into the fact that none of the operational plumbing they take for granted in traditional finance existed. There was no reliable way to produce a set of books that an auditor would sign, because the underlying records lived on public chains, in exchange APIs and with custodians, in incompatible forms and at a volume no manual process could handle.
Cryptio was built to solve exactly that. The platform aggregates transaction data across blockchains, exchanges, custodians and brokerages, reconciles it, and produces audit-ready records suitable for accounting, tax and regulatory reporting. That positioning turned out to be durable, because it is a requirement rather than a preference: a regulated institution cannot hold digital assets without it. The customer list reflects this, taking in Societe Generale’s SG Forge, the stablecoin issuer Circle, the exchange Gemini and the tokenisation platform Securitize.
Funding followed the institutional adoption curve rather than the retail crypto cycle. The company raised 1.2 million US dollars of seed capital in April 2021, a 10 million US dollar Series A in 2022 led by Point Nine, and a 15 million US dollar extension to that round in 2025 led by Alven. On 12 March 2026 Cryptio announced a 45 million US dollar Series B co-led by BlackFin Capital Partners and Sentinel Global, with 1kx, Alven, BlueYard Capital and Ledger Cathay Capital participating, taking total capital raised to roughly 71 million US dollars.
Scalia has framed the next stage as broadening from accounting into a full data-transformation and ERP layer for regulated digital-asset institutions, with new applications for loan management and treasury management. Founded in Paris and backed substantially by European investors, the company now operates internationally, and Scalia himself is based in New York.
