Executive Summary

Amiad Soto is co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Guesty, a software platform for short-term rental property managers and hosts, covering revenue, guest communication, operations and finance. He started it in 2013 with his twin brother, Koby Soto, after the two found that renting their own apartments on Airbnb consumed far more time than expected. Guesty, headquartered in Tel Aviv, now says it powers more than 500,000 properties across over 100 countries and has raised $410 million from investors including KKR, Apax Digital Fund and Inovia Capital. In September 2026 it announced the acquisition of Smily, a French short-term rental software company.

Career Highlights

  • Co-founded Guesty with Koby Soto in 2013; the company launched as SuperHost and took the Guesty name in 2014.
  • Led the company through a $130 million Series F in April 2024, led by KKR with participation from Inovia Capital, Apax Funds, BDT & MSD Partners and Sixth Street, following a $170 million round in 2022.
  • Said at the Series F that Guesty had grown five-fold over the preceding three years; the company then had more than 750 employees in 15 offices.
  • Expanded through acquisitions including Rentals United in 2024 and Smily in September 2026.
  • Guesty now reports $410 million in total funding and more than 500,000 properties on its platform.

Professional Journey

Guesty began as a practical problem. In 2013 Amiad Soto and his twin brother Koby were listing their own apartments as short-term rentals and found that handling guests, bookings and turnovers was consuming large amounts of their time. The software they built to manage it launched as SuperHost and was renamed Guesty in 2014. Amiad is its chief executive; Koby is his co-founder.

Guesty sells to property managers and hosts and says it integrates with Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com, Expedia, Tripadvisor, Google Travel and Homes & Villas by Marriott, among others. It extended its reach through acquisitions, including the property management software companies MyVR and YourPorter, reported in 2021, and Rentals United in 2024, which the company says brought it more than 500,000 listing connections.

Funding scaled with it. After a $170 million round in 2022, Guesty announced a $130 million Series F in April 2024, led by KKR and joined by Inovia Capital alongside existing investors Apax, BDT & MSD Partners and Sixth Street. At that point it had more than 750 employees in 15 offices, and Soto said the company had enjoyed “astonishing five-fold growth during the last three years”. Its backers now also include DFO Management, Viola Growth and Flashpoint, for a total of $410 million.

More recently Soto has repositioned Guesty as an AI platform, describing a set of AI agents that act across revenue, guest communication, operations and finance on behalf of property managers; the company launched a Copilot assistant in February 2026 and partnered with AirDNA that September. On 17 September 2026 Guesty announced it was acquiring Smily, a French provider that Soto said had earned the trust of operators in one of the world’s fastest-growing short-term rental markets for more than fifteen years.
