Executive Summary
Aabhas Sharma is Chief Technology Officer of Hebbia, the New York company building AI agents for investment banks, asset managers and other financial firms, where he leads both the technology and product organisations. His background is in scaling engineering organisations through hypergrowth: he was CTO and one of the first ten employees at Found, and before that rose from engineer to running Postmates’ delivery business through its sale to Uber.

- CTO of Found, joining as one of its first ten employees and helping scale it from Series A through Series C to tens of millions in revenue.
- Spent nearly six years at Postmates, rising from software engineer to running its delivery business with a 100-person team spanning engineering, product, design, operations and infrastructure.
- Led that team through Postmates’ roughly $3.5 billion acquisition by Uber.
Professional Journey
Sharma started as a software engineer at Postmates, the on-demand delivery company, and stayed nearly six years. He moved into leadership as Director of Engineering, Product and Design for the delivery business, and by the end was running that business with a 100-person team across engineering, product, design, operations and infrastructure, carrying it through Postmates’ acquisition by Uber.
He then joined Found as one of its first ten employees and served as its Chief Technology Officer for about four and a half years, helping take the company from Series A through Series C and to tens of millions of dollars in revenue. Alongside operating roles he has invested in fintech, platform and infrastructure, security and developer tooling companies.
Hebbia appointed him Chief Technology Officer on 21 October 2025. Founded in 2020 by George Sivulka and backed by Andreessen Horowitz, Peter Thiel and Index Ventures, Hebbia sells an AI platform that lets bankers and investors search and reason over filings, research and millions of internal documents, and generate models, memos and presentations from the results. The appointment came with the opening of a San Francisco office for the engineering team, following a new London headquarters. “Aabhas brings the rare combination of deep technical expertise and proven leadership scaling engineering teams through hypergrowth,” Sivulka said. Sharma described the brief as scaling Hebbia’s advances in AI accuracy and reasoning, and in speaker appearances since has focused on the problem of retrieving information reliably at scale across millions of documents a month for investment banks and private credit firms.
