Professional Journey

Long was executive vice president and chief financial officer of Regency GP, the general partner of Regency Energy Partners, from November 2010 to April 2015, according to Energy Transfer’s 10-K. Energy Transfer merged with Regency in 2015.

In February 2016 he became chief financial officer of Energy Transfer’s general partner, a role he held until January 2021, and he was also chief financial officer of the operating partnership until it merged into Energy Transfer LP in April 2021. From November 2016 to July 2017 he was chief financial officer and a director of PennTex Midstream Partners’ general partner. He was a director of Sunoco LP from 2016 to 2021 and has been on the board of USA Compression Partners since 2018.

Energy Transfer, a publicly traded limited partnership based in Dallas, owns natural gas, natural gas liquids, crude oil and refined products assets, including about 20,090 miles of interstate and 12,200 miles of intrastate natural gas pipelines, according to its 10-K.
