Executive Summary

Theresa Condor is President and Chief Executive Officer of Spire Global, the New York Stock Exchange-listed company headquartered in Vienna, Virginia that builds and operates a constellation of multi-purpose nanosatellites observing the Earth through radio-frequency signals. She is an insider’s CEO in the plainest sense: part of the founding team, she joined Spire in February 2013, sat on its board from 2015, ran its operations as Chief Operating Officer from 2021 and took over from founder Peter Platzer on 1 January 2025. Her tenure began in a difficult year: a restatement of prior-period financials, a change of finance chief and the sale of the maritime data business to Kpler. After those, Spire is narrower, focused on weather, aviation and signal intelligence and on space services for customers who want their own satellites.

  • Chief Executive Officer of Spire Global since January 2025, and additionally President since 5 March 2025, according to the company’s 8-K and 2026 proxy statement.
  • Director of Spire Global since August 2021, and a director of the pre-merger Spire (now Spire Global Subsidiary, Inc.) since November 2015.

  • Earlier Executive Vice President and General Manager of Space Services and Earth Intelligence.
  • Spent 2008 to 2012 at Citigroup, most recently as Vice President of Trade Risk Distribution on the Latin America desk.
  • As CEO, oversaw the April 2025 completion of the sale of Spire’s maritime business to Kpler Holding SA for approximately $238.9 million.

Professional Journey

Condor studied government at Cornell University and took a Master of International Affairs in international finance and policy at Columbia’s School of International and Public Affairs. She began her career at Citigroup in August 2008 as a rotating management associate and moved on to trade finance, leaving in February 2012 as Vice President of Trade Risk Distribution on the Latin America desk.

Spire was founded in August 2012, and Condor joined in February 2013. The company describes her as part of its founding team. Over the following years she held a variety of roles in the business and in November 2015 joined the board of what was then Spire Global, Inc. She became Executive Vice President and General Manager of Space Services and Earth Intelligence, the part of the business that sells satellite-derived data and also builds and operates satellites for other customers.

Spire went public in August 2021 through a merger with the special purpose acquisition company NavSight Holdings, which took the Spire Global name. Condor joined the listed company’s board that month and became Chief Operating Officer in October 2021. The company credits her with widening its product lines and building its customer base to more than 745 customers in 65 countries during that period.

In a planned leadership transition, the board named her Chief Executive Officer effective 1 January 2025, with Peter Platzer moving to Executive Chairman. On 5 March 2025 the board also removed Platzer as President and appointed Condor President and CEO. At the same time the company was completing a review of its accounting practices and restating prior-period financial statements, with its chief financial officer resigning when the review was done. In April 2025 Spire completed the sale of its maritime business to Kpler for about $238.9 million, using part of the proceeds to settle a dispute with L3Harris and repay its outstanding loans. Alison Engel became chief financial officer in 2025, and in July 2026 the board appointed a Chief Commercial Officer, a post the company created in place of the chief operating officer role, whose holder was leaving. In July 2026 an arbitral tribunal dismissed a customer’s claims against Spire and made a final award of about $12.4 million in the company’s favour.
