Executive Summary
Richard Beeston is CTO/COO of Digital Space, the UK managed service provider formerly known as Timico. He leads the technology function, where the company’s product management and solution architecture teams sit, and has also taken on operations. His time in the role has overlapped with a deliberate narrowing of the business. Digital Space has moved from being an internet service provider to a managed service provider, cut back the markets, solutions and vendors it works with, and now concentrates on mid-market organisations with more than 100 employees across ten or more sites. Before Digital Space he was Solutions & Strategy Director at Daisy Corporate Services.

Professional Journey
Beeston’s career has run through customer service, delivery, pre-sales and product management, at small firms and at large global organisations. He has more than 15 years of experience, and his work has included running cross-functional improvement programmes and building product development teams. Before joining Digital Space he was Solutions & Strategy Director at Daisy Corporate Services, the UK business communications and IT provider.
At Digital Space he leads the CTO function, which houses product management and solution architecture. A September 2024 podcast introduced him as the company’s CTO. By January 2026 trade press was describing him as CTO/COO, and in February 2026 Comms Dealer called him Chief Technology and Operating Officer.
He has been a public voice for the company’s change of direction. Speaking to IT Europa in January 2026, he described how Digital Space had “moved away from other markets and reduced the solutions we sell and the vendors we work with”. The aim, he said, was deep technical knowledge in a smaller set of technologies. He called the change to the company’s multi-year strategy “not a revolution, but more of an evolution”. He also said the company had shifted from talking about its products and technology to talking about how it solves customer problems. It had put new systems in place and treated data as “immeasurably more important”. The same article reported revenue of £62m in Digital Space’s latest accounts, up from £55m in the year to December 2019. It also reported an SD-WAN agreement with a nationwide hospitality customer covering more than 850 sites.
In February 2026 Digital Space was named a Fortinet Engage Tech Support Partner. Beeston said the status fitted the company’s long-term technology and service strategy of improving service performance and operational resilience.
Digital Space’s group companies are registered in Newark, Nottinghamshire.
