Executive Summary

Revathi Advaithi has been Chief Executive Officer of Flex, the Austin-based manufacturer that designs, builds and manages products for other companies’ brands, since February 2019. Professional Journey

Advaithi studied mechanical engineering at the Birla Institute of Technology and Science in Pilani, India, and took an MBA in international business at the Thunderbird School of Global Management. She joined Eaton, the power management company, in 1995. Over the next seven years she worked in its Electrical Sector across the Americas and Asia-Pacific, including a three-year assignment in Shanghai.

In 2002 she moved to Honeywell for six years of leadership roles in manufacturing, procurement, supply chain and sourcing, ending as Vice President and General Manager of its Field Solutions business. She returned to Eaton in 2008 in positions that included Vice President and General Manager of the Electrical Components Division. She became President of the Electrical Sector for the Americas in April 2012 and, in September 2015, President and Chief Operating Officer of the whole Electrical Sector, with corporate responsibility for the EMEA region. In that role she led a digital technology transformation and the creation of globally distributed innovation centres.

Flex named her chief executive in February 2019, and she joined its board at the same time. Her tenure ran through the pandemic, a severe supply-chain shock, an inflation cycle and a reshaping of where manufacturing is located. She has described the strategy as building a different Flex: one organised around capability and resilience rather than cost alone. The company regrouped into Integrated Technology Solutions, Regulated Manufacturing Solutions and Cloud and Power Infrastructure segments. In January 2024 Flex completed the spin-off of its remaining stake in Nextracker, a solar tracker maker. In fiscal 2026 it reported its strongest year, with net sales up 8% to $27.9 billion and free cash flow above $1 billion for a second year.

On 5 May 2026 Flex announced its intention to separate the Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment, which supplies power, thermal and integrated infrastructure for AI data centres, into an independent public company. The spin-off is targeted for the first calendar quarter of 2027 and remains subject to Board, shareholder, court and regulatory conditions. When it closes, Advaithi is expected to become chief executive of the new company and to chair Flex’s board for a transitional period. Michael Hartung, Flex’s President and Chief Commercial Officer, is expected to succeed her as Flex CEO. For now she remains Flex’s chief executive.

Outside Flex she has served on Uber’s board since 2020. She sits on the MIT Presidential CEO Advisory Board and is a member of the Business Roundtable. In 2023 the U.S. President appointed her to two federal advisory committees, on trade policy and on supply chain competitiveness. Her Flex biography describes her as an advocate for public-private collaboration in manufacturing.
