Professional Journey
Aubert met Alix de Sagazan while both were working at a Paris web agency that specialised in online traffic acquisition. In 2009, convinced that converting visitors mattered more than attracting them, they left to start Liwio, an agency devoted to conversion. A year of analysing client websites persuaded them that a tool for marketing teams would serve better than consultancy: A/B testing at the time was still a technical exercise carried out by developers. They began building software in 2010, tested a first version with Liwio’s clients in 2011, and closed the agency at the end of 2012 to concentrate on the product, AB Tasty.
AB Tasty grew into a SaaS business selling experimentation and personalization tools to marketing and product teams. By 2019, when Bpifrance interviewed him as a member of the 2017-2018 Pass French Tech cohort, it had offices in London, Cologne, Madrid and New York and had recently opened in Singapore and San Francisco. In that interview he described a management habit of inviting a different team to lunch each week so that information travelled in both directions, and of keeping one day a week free of meetings for longer-term work. He was by then leading the company alongside de Sagazan; L’ADN described him in 2020 as AB Tasty’s founder and managing director, and he later held the title of Co-CEO.
On 20 January 2026 VWO and AB Tasty announced that they would combine. VWO co-founder Sparsh Gupta leads the merged company as CEO, with de Sagazan as Chief Revenue Officer, VWO co-founder Ankit Jain as Chief Product and Technology Officer, and Aubert as Chief Customer and Strategy Officer. The announcement put combined annual revenue above $100 million, with more than 4,000 customers and about 90 percent of revenue from the United States and Europe. AB Tasty’s historical investors exited, and in a joint post the two AB Tasty founders wrote that all four co-founders remained significantly invested in the business. The combined company now presents itself as Wingify.
Outside work, Aubert is a triathlete. He told Bpifrance in 2019 that he had returned to the sport after a four-year break, swam about 1.5 kilometres every morning, and had persuaded ten colleagues to take part in the Deauville triathlon.
