Career Highlights

  • Chief Executive Officer and President of Greenland Technologies Holding Corporation since 24 October 2019, and CEO of its operating group Zhongchai Holding since April 2019.

  • President of Devirra Corporation, a warehousing and logistics company, from November 2017 to March 2019.
  • Vice President at Bank of America Merrill Lynch from August 2007 to July 2017, building a client acquisition channel for an online platform.
  • Chairman of ONE Project, a non-profit working on hunger and related social issues, from February 2019 to November 2020.

Professional Journey

Wang studied economics at Rutgers University. From December 2005 to March 2007 he was a financial advisor at Cowan Financial Group, a financial planning and consulting firm in New York. He then joined Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he spent ten years as a Vice President developing a client acquisition channel for an online platform.

In November 2017 he became President of Devirra Corporation, a warehousing management and logistics company, and stayed until March 2019. From February 2019 to November 2020 he also chaired the board of ONE Project, a non-profit that brings local communities together on problems such as hunger.

In April 2019 he became Chief Executive Officer of Zhongchai Holding, the Hong Kong holding company for a group of Chinese manufacturers. Through Zhejiang Zhongchai Machinery, formed in 2005, the group develops and makes transmission products for forklifts and other material handling machinery. In October 2019 Zhongchai combined with Greenland Acquisition Corporation, a blank-check company listed on Nasdaq, and the merged company became Greenland Technologies Holding Corporation. Wang has been its Chief Executive Officer and President since the deal closed on 24 October 2019. His father, Peter Zuguang Wang, has been chairman since the same date and controls most of the voting power. In May 2023 Raymond Wang bought 66,500 shares on the open market; the company announced the purchase as a sign of confidence in its strategy.

In January 2020 Wang also became CEO of HEVI Corp., the Delaware subsidiary Greenland set up to make and sell electric industrial vehicles in the United States. Greenland’s 2025 annual report says substantially all of HEVI’s operations have been suspended since 2025 because of uncertainty over tariff policy.

The company has made several changes since then. A dual-class share structure took effect on Nasdaq in February 2026, and by mid-2026 the principal executive office had moved from East Windsor, New Jersey, to Hangzhou. In March 2026 Nasdaq notified Greenland that its Class A shares had closed below the $1.00 minimum bid price. In September 2026 Nasdaq gave it a second 180-day period, to March 2027, to regain compliance. Wang certified the company’s June 2026 quarterly report as its principal executive officer.
