Rajagopalan studied mathematics at the University of Madras and later took an MBA at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, concentrating in finance, marketing and strategy. Her career before FourKites ran through product management in software: FourKites and Brambles both describe senior product roles at TiVo Corporation, the digital video and entertainment technology company, and at Flexera Software, which sells software licensing and asset management tools. FourKites’ biography also says she advised leadership teams at Hewlett-Packard, Emerson, 3M and ADP, and characterises her background as two decades across product strategy, marketing and general management.

She joined FourKites as Chief Product Officer when the company was still young. FourKites, led by its founder and chief executive Mathew Elenjickal, says it “defined and created the supply chain visibility category”.
