Professional Journey

United Ag & Turf was formed in October 2017 by merging two Texas John Deere dealers, Coufal-Prater and Brazos Valley Equipment. In May 2018 Pettit Machinery merged into the group and Ag-Power Texas was acquired, taking it to 29 locations in Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas. Farm Equipment reported at the time that the deal lifted the group from 83rd to 8th in Ag Equipment Intelligence’s Big Dealer ranking.

The group kept growing. In 2022 it acquired 21 locations from four ownership groups: Mustang Equipment, Fish & Still Equipment, Austin Turf & Tractor and Quality Implement. It also opened a new flagship store and a standalone Support & Solutions Center in Van Alstyne, Texas, built in 2021. By 2025 the South-Central Division operated 48 stores, 39 of them in Texas, and employed about 1,100 people. A separate Northeastern Division, founded in 2020, runs 41 John Deere locations in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York and Vermont, and Farm Equipment reported the combined group as the largest dealer group in North America, with about 2,000 employees.

Jander is Chief Financial Officer of the South-Central Division, listed alongside Brody Pettit as CEO and Clint Tillison as COO. When he took the role and what he did earlier are not documented in any source reviewed.
