Professional Journey
Menon trained as an engineer, taking a B.Tech. at the University of Calicut and an M.Tech. at the Manipal Institute of Technology, before an MBA at Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business. He spent the following two decades in Silicon Valley in senior finance and operational roles at Cisco, Skype and Microsoft. He has said that the operational responsibilities he took on at Cisco and Intuit, beyond classic finance work, prepared him for combined finance-and-operations roles later.
At Intuit he was Vice President of Finance from October 2013 to January 2018. He then became Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer and Corporate Secretary of Prezi in February 2018, staying until December 2019.
In January 2020 he became CFO of Vimeo, then a subsidiary of IAC, moving with his family to the New York City area. His tenure spanned Vimeo’s most consequential corporate event: its spin-off from IAC in May 2021, after which it traded as a separate public company and he served as one of its four executive officers alongside chief executive Anjali Sud. He resigned as CFO on 4 April 2022, when Gillian Munson was appointed to succeed him, and remained available to Vimeo as an Executive Advisor through the end of that year.
Matillion announced him as CFO and COO in the spring of 2023, with a remit that included working with each business leader to improve execution. The company, founded in 2011 with headquarters in Denver and Manchester, reached a $1.5 billion valuation in its Series E that September. He now holds the title President of Operations and CFO. In August 2026 Matillion appointed Girish Pancha as chief executive, succeeding co-founder Matthew Scullion, who remains on the board; Menon continues on the leadership team under the new CEO.
Outside his executive roles, he has served on the board of the Food Bank for Contra Costa and Solano counties in California and as an advisory board member for the Rutgers University Big Data Program.
