Pumarejo holds a bachelor’s degree in advertising and public relations from Seton Hill University and an MBA from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, according to Progressive. In June 2025 she was named chief marketing officer, overseeing research, analytics, human insights, creative development and management, public relations, crisis management, agent communications, marketing communications, digital marketing, social media, brand community management and influencer marketing. Progressive, an insurance holding company in Mayfield Village, Ohio, wrote $83.2 billion of net premiums in 2025, according to its 10-K.
