Vagell earned a bachelor’s degree in communication from the University of Oklahoma and completed the executive development program at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, according to Lowe’s. In September 2018 she became senior vice president of store merchandising, and from June 2019 to January 2024 she was senior vice president and general merchandising manager, with roles covering home décor and hardlines. She then became senior vice president of supply chain and, in March 2024, executive vice president of supply chain. As of 30 January 2026 Lowe’s operated 1,759 home improvement stores and outlets in the U.S. and more than 540 branch locations in the U.S. and Canada, including those of Foundation Building Materials and Artisan Design Group, which it acquired in 2025, according to its 10-K.
