Executive Summary

Kevin Janflone is Chief Financial Officer of Aderant, the Atlanta-based maker of business management software for law firms and a subsidiary of Roper Technologies. He is responsible for Aderant’s financial strategy, operational efficiency and its capacity to invest in innovation and grow globally. His route to the job ran through Roper’s own portfolio: he held finance leadership roles at PowerPlan and IPA, two other Roper businesses, and arrived at Aderant in what former CEO Chris Cartrett described as “kind of a trade” when Aderant’s then chief operating officer left to run PowerPlan. He has more than 15 years of experience across investment banking, corporate FP&A and finance leadership.

Career Highlights

  • Chief Financial Officer of Aderant, part of an executive team currently led by Acting CEO Deane Price.
  • Held finance leadership roles at PowerPlan and IPA, both part of Roper Technologies.
  • Worked in corporate FP&A at MedAssets, then a public healthcare software company.
  • Began his career at Croft & Bender, a boutique investment bank.
  • Holds a business degree from Emory University.

Professional Journey

An Atlanta native, Janflone studied business at Emory University and started his career in investment banking at Croft & Bender, a boutique firm. He moved into corporate finance at MedAssets, a publicly traded healthcare software company, where he worked in financial planning and analysis.

He then spent time inside Roper Technologies, the diversified software and technology group, in finance leadership roles at two of its businesses, PowerPlan and IPA. Aderant is also a Roper company, and his move there came through a leadership exchange within the group. According to LawSites, when Aderant’s then chief operating officer Raphael Shure left to become president and CEO of PowerPlan, “that move brought Aderant its current CFO, Kevin Janflone, in what Cartrett called ‘kind of a trade.’”

As CFO he oversees Aderant’s financial strategy and operational efficiency. The executive team around him changed in July 2026, when Chris Cartrett announced he was stepping down as chief executive to lead public safety software company ImageTrend, and Deane Price, who had been Aderant’s CEO from 2017 to 2021, returned on an interim basis. Aderant’s leadership page now lists her as Acting Chief Executive Officer, with Janflone continuing as CFO.

He lives in Brookhaven, Georgia.
