Executive Summary
Kaushik “Bobby” Ghoshal is Chief Executive Officer of Experity, the GTCR-backed company whose software and services run nearly half of the urgent care clinics in the United States. He took the role in February 2026, six months after arriving as President and Chief Operating Officer, and succeeded founder David Stern, who moved to Executive Chairperson in what both described as a planned, year-long succession. Ghoshal came from ResMed, where he spent more than a decade and moved from running internal IT to being chief technology officer, then to running the company’s out-of-hospital software business as a commercial leader. That combination, a technologist who ended up owning a software P&L, is the profile Experity chose to lead its push into AI across urgent care operations. He has also sat on the board of Omnicell, the pharmacy automation company, since 2023.

- President of ResMed’s SaaS business from August 2021 to December 2023, and ResMed’s Chief Technology Officer from April 2018 to August 2021.
- Chief Operating Officer of Brightree, ResMed’s cloud software business for out-of-hospital care, from 2016 to 2018.
- Independent director of Omnicell, Inc. since July 2023.
Professional Journey
Ghoshal trained as an engineer, taking a bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering and telecommunications at the National Institute of Technology in Calicut, India, and later an MBA at Arizona State University. His early career was in technology management at Wipro Infotech, Compuware, Motorola and Freescale Semiconductor.
He joined ResMed in 2012 as Vice President, Information Technology. ResMed is best known for sleep apnea and respiratory devices, but it had been building a software business for care delivered outside hospitals, and in 2016 Ghoshal moved into it as Chief Operating Officer of Brightree, the ResMed-owned provider of cloud software for home medical equipment and related out-of-hospital providers. In April 2018 he returned to the parent company as Chief Technology Officer, a role he held until August 2021, when ResMed appointed him President of its Software-as-a-Service business. In December 2023 his title became Chief Commercial Officer, SaaS, covering what the company came to call its residential care software portfolio. He left ResMed at the start of August 2025.
He joined Experity the same month as President and Chief Operating Officer. Experity sells the operating system of the urgent care clinic: electronic medical records, practice management, patient engagement, revenue cycle management, teleradiology and analytics, used by nearly half of U.S. urgent care centres and nine of the ten largest enterprise operators. Founder and chief executive David Stern said at the time that Ghoshal had deep experience “scaling software businesses in complex environments”. The succession was brought forward quickly: on 23 February 2026 Experity announced Ghoshal as Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately, with Stern becoming Executive Chairperson. Stern said that since becoming President and COO, “Bobby has proven himself through results”; Ghoshal said he intended to lead the next chapter by “accelerating innovation using AI.” Experity also credits him with leading more than $2.5 billion in acquisitions over his career.
Alongside his executive roles, Ghoshal has served since July 2023 as an independent director of Omnicell, the medication management and pharmacy automation company. Its board cites his experience in software products, digital transformation, information security, data analytics and machine learning.
