Professional Journey
Nevin graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2003 with a BA in Economics and Philosophy. He then spent four years at Deloitte, from 2003 to 2007, finishing as a Manager in Consumer Business External Audit. In 2007 he moved into corporate finance at Oriel Securities, a UK broker later acquired by Stifel Financial Corp. From 2010 to 2011 he was an associate director in corporate finance at Evolution Securities, which Investec acquired in 2011.
In July 2014 he joined the London Stock Exchange Group as Chief Financial Officer and Managing Director of its Information Services division. He was responsible for business performance and financial oversight, covering reporting, accounting, finance operations and tax. The division included FTSE Russell Indexes, The Yield Book and Real Time Exchange Data. In December 2019 he became Managing Director and Head of Data Solutions. In March 2021 he became Managing Director of the Funds, Research and Content business lines. Forge says these LSEG roles made him responsible for growing businesses including Lipper, StarMine, SEDOL and Mergent. Forge’s two filings give different end dates for that last LSEG role. The appointment 8-K says it ran until January 2025. The later proxy says it ran until September 2023, and that he then advised several private equity and portfolio companies before joining Forge.
Forge announced his appointment as CFO on 14 January 2025, effective 20 January. Forge operates a marketplace and data business for private company shares, and was then listed on the NYSE as FRGE. Chief executive Kelly Rodriques pointed to Nevin’s part in LSEG’s move “from an exchange into a data and index business”. He said Nevin would play “a key role across our initiatives to increase revenue and expand margins”. Nevin took over as principal financial officer from Mark Lee, who had held the role since 2018 and moved to a strategic wealth role.
His first year ended with the company’s sale. On 5 November 2025 Forge agreed to be acquired by The Charles Schwab Corporation for $45.00 per share in cash. The merger completed on 2 March 2026, and Forge became a wholly owned subsidiary of Schwab and was delisted. At the close, Schwab’s own officers were appointed to the officer posts of the surviving legal entity. Forge’s leadership page continues to list Nevin as Chief Financial Officer of the business, alongside Rodriques as chief executive.
