Professional Journey
Larsson took a bachelor’s degree at Fordham University and an MBA in Finance at the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business. His early senior finance roles were at IBM Cloud and then at NICE and its financial-crime and compliance software business, NICE Actimize. Neither source gives his titles or dates for those roles.
He then joined Kaseya, the IT management and security software company, as senior vice president and head of Financial Planning & Analysis, and rose to executive vice president of Finance. RethinkFirst’s announcement describes that work as aligning financial planning with aggressive growth. He moved on to become Chief Financial Officer of SecurityScorecard, the security ratings company, where he led financial strategy and operations. His RethinkFirst biography says he helped scale the company’s financial infrastructure and supported its growth initiatives.
RethinkFirst announced his appointment as chief financial officer on 7 October 2025. The company was founded in 2007. It describes itself as serving more than 11 million employees, a third of the Fortune 100, many large public school districts and more than 96,000 individual behavioral healthcare providers. The chief executive who announced his appointment, Ben Semmes, said Larsson had “built a reputation for translating complex financial data into actionable insights” and for “scaling fiscal processes in fast-growing environments”. Larsson called it “a pivotal moment” in the company’s journey. The chief executive has since changed: in March 2026 RethinkFirst appointed Dinesh Senanayake, himself a former chief financial officer, as CEO. The company’s team page now lists Larsson as Chief Financial Officer on the executive leadership team under Senanayake.
