Executive Summary
Emmanuelle Fauchier-Magnan is co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Skello, a Paris company whose software handles scheduling, working time and HR administration for frontline teams, the staff in restaurants, shops, care settings and similar workplaces who do not sit at a desk. She founded it in 2016 with Quitterie Mathelin-Moreaux, now its CEO, after the two noticed that American restaurants, even small fast-food outlets, used digital scheduling tools while French ones were still working on paper and spreadsheets. Skello has since grown to around 400 employees and roughly 25,000 customers, with operations in France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Spain and Italy, and it now sells an AI assistant that helps managers build and adjust staff schedules.

- Serves as Skello’s COO, with responsibilities that have covered product innovation, business strategy and expansion into new sectors and European markets.
- Helped build Skello into a business of around 400 employees and 25,000 customers, including a Lille hub opened in 2025 and a Barcelona office of about 100 people.
- Has presented Skello’s AI assistant for frontline managers, piloted with customers from January 2025 and opened to all of them in November 2025.
- Worked for about a year at the car-sharing company Turo and then at the Paris investment firm Serena Capital before founding Skello.
Professional Journey
Before Skello, Fauchier-Magnan spent about a year at Turo, the American car-sharing marketplace, and then worked at Serena Capital, a Paris venture capital firm. The idea for Skello came out of time in the United States with her future co-founder, Quitterie Mathelin-Moreaux: they saw that restaurants there, down to small neighbourhood fast-food outlets, ran on digital tools, while their French counterparts built staff rotas on paper or in Excel. Back in France they interviewed around a hundred restaurateurs before launching Skello in 2016.
The first market was hospitality, where shift patterns are irregular and labour rules are dense. Skello raised a €6 million Series A in 2018 and €40 million in 2021, and widened from restaurants into retail, services, healthcare and industry. As COO she has worked on product, strategy and that expansion into new sectors and countries. Skello’s customers mostly employ between 10 and 200 people; she has described the market as one still made up largely of first-time buyers, in a workforce where only a quarter of frontline workers are equipped with HR tools.
By late 2025 Skello had around 400 staff and 25,000 customers, was active in Spain, the Benelux countries and Italy, and had about 100 employees in Barcelona. It opened a hub in Lille in 2025, which she explained as a way to get closer to Belgium and to tap a strong pool of talent outside Paris, with plans to double the team there by the end of 2026. Skello has said it plans no new fundraising for now and has set a target of €100 million in annual recurring revenue by 2027. On the product side, she has described the company’s move from a chatbot, offered since 2022, to an AI agent that helps managers make scheduling decisions: tested with a handful of customers in January 2025 and opened to all of them in November. Skello also partners with PayFit and In Extenso on payroll integration.
