Coleman earned a BA in politics at Princeton University in 1996 and joined Goldman Sachs that year as an analyst in the Bank Loan Group. He moved to capital markets in 1998 and to the Investment Banking Division in 2004, becoming co-head of U.S. Loan Capital Markets in 2005 and of U.S. Leveraged Finance in 2008. He was named managing director in 2005 and partner in 2008.
In 2009 he became head of EMEA Credit Finance in London, and from 2016 to 2018 head of the EMEA Financing Group. He co-headed the Global Financing Group from 2018 to September 2021 and was then Deputy CFO until becoming Chief Financial Officer in January 2022.
He serves on the boards of Covenant House International and Hospital for Special Surgery.
