Professional Journey
LeBlanc earned a B.A. in biology from the College of the Holy Cross and an M.B.A. in finance and marketing from Santa Clara University. His first chief financial officer role on the SEC record came in March 2000 at Fogdog, the online sporting goods retailer. He moved in March 2001 to inSilicon, a semiconductor intellectual property provider, as CFO. From May 2002 to March 2006 he was Vice President of Finance and Operations at Mercury Interactive, the application testing and management software company, before returning to the CFO seat at the web analytics company Webtrends from March 2006 to July 2008.
In July 2008 he joined Jive Software, the enterprise collaboration company, as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He led its finance function through its 2011 initial public offering and signed the registration statement as principal financial and accounting officer. He stayed through years as a public company, and Wind River later described his tenure as nine years. Jive was acquired in a cash tender offer completed in June 2017. Alongside his executive roles he served on the board of Borland Software Corporation from June 2007 to September 2009, and later on the board of the performance testing company SOASTA.
He was next CFO of Spire Global, the space-to-cloud data and analytics company, and in December 2018 Wind River, the embedded and intelligent-edge software company then owned by TPG, named him Chief Financial Officer. Nextech says that at Wind River he transformed financial management and operating processes, helped lift revenue growth from 5% to 15%, and led the company through a $3.5 billion exit after a four-year transformation. That exit was Aptiv’s acquisition of Wind River from TPG, completed on 23 December 2022 at a transaction value of $3.5 billion, reduced from the $4.3 billion agreed in January 2022.
He is now Chief Financial Officer of Nextech, working under CEO Rusty Frantz. The company says its software is used by more than 16,000 physicians across more than 5,500 practices. He also sits on the advisory board of Fintastic, a start-up building FP&A software. He lives with his wife in Somers, Montana.
