The second has been in privately held New York technology companies — Knowledge Delivery Systems, Socure and now BigID — as a senior finance executive.

Professional Journey

Aronovitz graduated from Yeshiva University’s Sy Syms School of Business with a B.S. in Accounting in 1990 and spent the next six years in the audit and business advisory practice of Arthur Andersen. He moved into industry at Zurich Reinsurance (North America), where he rose to Director of Finance between 1996 and 1999, then to IDT Corporation, where between 1999 and 2001 he became Vice President and Corporate Controller. From 2001 to 2002 he was Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Miltex Inc.

He joined Comverse Technology in November 2002 as Assistant Vice President of Finance and became Vice President of Finance in February 2005. From November 2004 he also sat on the board of Verint Systems, the Comverse subsidiary. In 2006 he was appointed Interim Chief Financial Officer, Vice President of Finance and Treasurer, under an employment agreement effective 1 June 2006 that the company disclosed alongside the appointments of an interim chief executive and a new chief administrative officer. He joined the board of Ulticom, another Comverse subsidiary, in July 2007. Comverse announced in October 2008 that his employment, by then as Vice President of Finance and Treasurer, would end on 30 November 2008, when he also stepped down from the Verint and Ulticom boards.

His subsequent career has been in privately held companies in New York. Knowledge Delivery Systems named him as an executive officer in a Form D filed in May 2015, and Socure did the same in Form D filings in August 2017 and November 2021.

He is now Chief Financial Officer of BigID. Founded in 2016 and led by chief executive Dimitri Sirota, BigID sells a platform that discovers and classifies sensitive and regulated data and connects it to identity, access and business context for security, privacy, compliance and AI governance. BigID’s February 2024 Form D lists him as an executive officer, and the company’s current leadership page names him as CFO.
