Executive Summary
Tucker Callaway is the Chief Executive Officer of Mezmo, formerly LogDNA, an observability and telemetry pipeline platform for DevOps and engineering teams. He joined in January 2020 as President and Chief Revenue Officer and was promoted to chief executive six months later. What distinguishes his background is its narrowness in a useful direction: every significant role of his career has been in developer, testing, or operations tooling — performance testing at Mercury Interactive, IT monitoring at Nimsoft, infrastructure automation at Chef, test automation at Sauce Labs, and now observability. He is a specialist in selling to engineers, which is a distinct discipline from enterprise sales generally.
Career Highlights
- Joined Mezmo, then LogDNA, in January 2020 as President and CRO, and became CEO six months later.

Professional Journey
Callaway studied computer science at the University of California, Berkeley, and began his career as an analyst at Accenture in 1997. He moved into enterprise software sales and spent the following two decades within a single technical domain: tools that engineers use to build, test, and operate software.
He was a regional sales manager at Mercury Interactive, later acquired by HP, during the period when application performance testing became a standard part of enterprise software delivery. He then served as VP of Americas Sales at Nimsoft, acquired by CA, in IT monitoring, and as VP of Worldwide Sales at Chef, the infrastructure automation company at the centre of the DevOps movement, where he sustained high double-digit growth. From 2017 to 2020 he was Chief Revenue Officer of Sauce Labs, in continuous test automation.
He joined LogDNA in January 2020 as President and Chief Revenue Officer and was promoted to Chief Executive Officer six months later. The company had built a strong log management product, and the strategic question he inherited was where that sat as the category moved. Observability had become the organizing idea — the argument that logs, metrics and traces should be understood together rather than as separate tools — while the volume of telemetry data modern systems emit had itself become the problem, with companies paying heavily to store data they never query.
Mezmo’s answer, and the rebrand from LogDNA that accompanied it, was to move upstream into the telemetry pipeline: controlling, filtering, enriching and routing observability data before it reaches expensive storage, so engineering teams keep what is useful and discard what is not. That repositions the company from a destination for data into infrastructure that sits in front of destinations, including competing ones.
Outside the company, Callaway and his wife Andi founded the Nephrotic Syndrome Foundation, supporting people diagnosed with the condition and their families and funding research toward a cure.
