Professional Journey

Rohrbaugh graduated from Johns Hopkins University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts in political science. He began his career trading options on the Philadelphia Stock Exchange for CooperNeff, led Banque Nationale’s Asia foreign exchange options business, and managed the North American foreign exchange options business at Goldman Sachs.

He joined J.P. Morgan in 2005 as a managing director and global head of Foreign Exchange Derivatives, and later led Macro Markets, covering rates, foreign exchange, emerging markets and commodities. He was Head of Global Markets from 2019, Co-Head of Markets & Securities Services from June 2023, and Co-Chief Executive Officer of the Commercial & Investment Bank from January 2024.

On 25 June 2026 he was elected Co-President and became Chief Executive Officer of Consumer & Community Banking, succeeding Marianne Lake. He has chaired the New York Fed’s Foreign Exchange Committee and the GFMA Foreign Exchange Group.
