Robert Bell

Robert (“Rob”) Bell is a Partner at Innosight, the strategy and innovation consulting business that now operates as part of Huron Consulting Group. Over roughly six years and 22 client projects, he co-led Innosight’s Industrial and MedTech practices, advising leadership teams on growth strategy and disruptive innovation across industries including industrial equipment, agriculture, mining, construction, steel, energy, chemicals, water, telecommunications, insurance, software, and healthcare. His own recent LinkedIn activity suggests he may be transitioning out of the firm around the time of this writing — see the note above.

Career Highlights

Before Innosight, Bell spent roughly two decades in strategy consulting, including a partner-level role at Treacy & Company, a growth and innovation consulting firm, and as a principal at Cambridge Strategic Management Group, where he focused on helping organizations extract value from data and manage significant change. He also held earlier roles at Adventis and Monitor Group.

At Innosight, Bell co-authored several client-facing publications on medtech and industrial strategy, including “Transforming Medtech: Strategies for Shifting from Devices to Digital Healthcare Solutions” (October 2024), “Innovation Within Reach: Balancing Growth and Cost Discipline in Times of Uncertainty” (May 2024), and “Products to Solutions: Three Keys for Industrial Companies to Make the Switch” (April 2024). Education

Bell holds a BA in Economics from Dartmouth College, an MA in Economics and an MS in Foreign Service (with honors in International Business) from Georgetown University, and an MBA in Finance from George Washington University.
