Professional Journey

Smith joined Global Currencies Ltd, a U.K. foreign exchange payments company, in 1996 and became one of its directors in 1999. When StoneX, then INTL, acquired the company in 2004, he became Chief Executive Officer of INTL Global Currencies Ltd, which was consolidated into StoneX Financial Ltd in 2014.

From July 2008 he led the company’s Europe, Middle East and Africa operations as chief executive. He became an executive officer of the group in 2013.
