Executive Summary

Phil Eden is Vice President of Channel for North America at IGEL, the company behind a secure endpoint operating system used to deliver virtual desktops, cloud desktops, SaaS and browser-based workspaces. IGEL sells entirely through partners, which makes the North American channel role central to its go-to-market rather than a supporting function. Eden has been in the channel organisation since 2017, rising from a regional director post to run it, and CRN named him to its Channel Chiefs list in both 2023 and 2024.

Career Highlights

  • Vice President of Channel for North America at IGEL, as named by the company in June 2026.
  • Joined IGEL in 2017 as Director of Channels for the East Region.
  • Served about two years as Senior Director of North America Channel Sales before being promoted to Vice President of Channel Sales for North America in early 2022.
  • Named to CRN’s Channel Chiefs list in February 2023 and again in February 2024.
  • Spoke for IGEL at the January 2021 launch of IGEL Velocity, its global partner program.
  • Credited by IGEL with a role in its IGEL Services Specialization program and in planning the move of partners to its subscription model.

Professional Journey

Before IGEL, Eden spent much of his career building partner ecosystems for emerging technology vendors. IGEL’s 2023 announcement names RES Software (now part of Ivanti), Tricerat and Veeam among the companies he worked with over more than 18 years, but gives no titles or dates for those roles.

He joined IGEL in 2017 as Director of Channels for the East Region. By January 2021 he was Senior Director of North America Channel Sales, and in that role he spoke for the company when it launched IGEL Velocity, a global partner program that measured partners on skills, certifications, partner-sourced pipeline and customer satisfaction as well as revenue. He was promoted to Vice President of Channel Sales for North America in early 2022.

IGEL’s account of his work since then centres on partner enablement. The company credits him with helping plan the transition of partners to its subscription-based model, and with the development of the IGEL Services Specialization program, which gave partners a way to invest in delivery skills. CRN recognised him on its Channel Chiefs list in 2023, and again in 2024, when IGEL cited his work on a partner acceleration model built around its Preventative Security Model.

He remains in the role as IGEL has repositioned itself. In April 2026 Channel Insider quoted him on the company’s shift to what it calls an Adaptive Secure Endpoint Platform and on its distribution and technology partnerships, including Exclusive Networks and Omnissa. In June 2026 IGEL quoted him, as Vice President of Channel for North America, on two IGEL channel leaders in North America being named to CRN’s 2026 Women of the Channel list.
