Professional Journey
Gama earned a BA in economics from McMaster University and an MBA in marketing from the University of Rochester, according to P&G. He began as a sales representative for Sanofi Pharma in Canada in 1991, was a marketing intern at Reckitt Benckiser in 1997 and an assistant brand manager at Bayer Consumer Health from 1998.
He returned to Reckitt Benckiser as brand manager for fabric care in 2002, then moved to Novartis, where he was group product manager and director of marketing for upper respiratory products and, from 2008, head of marketing for Mexico. Back at Reckitt Benckiser he was marketing director for health care from 2009 and global category director for nutritionals from 2013.
He joined P&G on 28 February 2017 as senior vice president for North America Personal Health Care, and in 2020 became president of Personal Health Care. In 2026 he was named chief executive of Health Care, combining Personal Health Care and Oral Care, the year the 10-K records him as first elected an officer.
He is on the board of directors of the Global Self-Care Federation and is a former chairman of the board of the Consumer Healthcare Products Association, according to his company biography. Procter & Gamble, based in Cincinnati, reported net sales of $87.0 billion for the fiscal year ended 30 June 2026, according to its 10-K.
