Professional Journey

According to Studio TK’s announcement of his appointment, Sharghi started his career in finance at Marriott International and then moved into consumer products, working on brands including Huggies, Kleenex, Sharpie and Papermate. Kimball International’s filings give the dated part of that history. At Newell he was Senior Manager of Marketing Operations from June 2014 and Director of Marketing Operations and Strategy from March 2016 to April 2018. He then became Head of Global Marketing at Radio Systems Corporation, a pet products manufacturer, where he led the centralization of its global marketing function.

He joined Kimball International in March 2019 as Vice President of Strategy and Transformation. The role came as the company’s then-new chief executive announced a transformation plan, and Kimball said he would sit on its senior leadership team. He became Executive Vice President in January 2020. In August 2020 he was named Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer and President, eBusiness, with responsibility for eCommerce merchandising and the product portfolio, digital marketing and the digital customer experience, while he continued to lead growth strategy and integration work. He was one of Kimball’s named executive officers and left the company in July 2022.

Studio TK named him President in January 2024. Studio TK was founded in 2013 and makes furniture for the social areas of the workplace: spaces where people gather, collaborate and build connections. He described the brand at the time as being “on the cusp of one of the largest office design transformation movements to date”. According to Teknion, over the next two and a half years he relaunched the brand, built up the product pipeline, strengthened operations, widened distribution and tied Studio TK more closely into Teknion.

In August 2026 Teknion made him Chief Brand and Product Officer while he stayed on as President of Studio TK. Teknion CEO and President David Feldberg said his “leadership has resulted in considerable growth for Studio TK.”
