Executive Summary

Jennifer Blair is Co-Founder and CEO of Deka Lash, an eyelash extension and brow studio franchise based outside Pittsburgh with more than 100 studios across North America. She started the business with Michael Blair in 2012 because she saw a gap in the market. At the time eyelash extensions were expensive, slow and offered mainly as an add-on at salons in a few cities, so she trained as a lash artist and set out to make the service affordable and quick. Deka Lash began franchising in 2016. In March 2026 it launched Deka+, a studio concept that adds injectables, advanced skin treatments and medical-grade skincare to lash and brow services. Both brands sit under the parent company Look Good Brands.

  • Led the March 2026 launch of Deka+, a franchised medical aesthetics studio concept that began at locations in McMurray, Pennsylvania, and Western Springs, Illinois.
  • With Michael Blair, formed Look Good Brands in 2019 as a parent company for Deka Lash.

Professional Journey

Blair has said she got the idea for Deka Lash from her own experience as a customer. The first time she had eyelash extensions, she felt more confident right away. But the service was expensive, slow and hard to find, which she felt put it out of reach for most working women and mothers. She trained as a lash artist and in 2012 opened a one-room studio outside Pittsburgh with Michael Blair. The company has since built its business around shorter appointments. It developed an application technique called TrueXpress, which applies extensions to every other lash and halves the usual appointment time, and it created its own product line for its lashes.

After opening four corporate studios in Pittsburgh, the Blairs decided that further growth would come through franchising. Deka Lash began franchising in 2016 and passed 100 units in less than five years. By September 2022 the company reported 125 studios across North America. That month Blair was described as founder and co-CEO, sharing the chief executive title with Michael Blair. The company was also promoting its technology, including AI call handling and augmented-reality virtual try-on for its lash styles. Blair has spoken publicly about wanting women in leadership roles in a business whose customers are mostly women, and about training women for careers as lash artists.

In 2019 the Blairs formed Look Good Brands as a parent company. By 2026 it described itself as the owner of Deka Lash and a growing group of beauty and wellness brands, with more than 100 studios across North America. In March 2026, as Co-Founder and CEO, Blair announced Deka+. The concept adds wrinkle reducers, dermal fillers, advanced facials and medical-grade skincare to Deka Lash’s lash and brow services, with treatments carried out by licensed professionals under a medical director. Deka+ opened first at select locations in McMurray, Pennsylvania, and Western Springs, Illinois, and is being offered as a franchise. Blair said the idea came from clients who kept asking where they could go for Botox and advanced skin treatments.
