Taylor earned a bachelor’s degree in history at Stanford University and a Juris Doctor at Harvard Law School. He spent more than 15 years in federal service, including roles in the U.S. Senate and U.S. Attorney’s offices, as Counselor to the Attorney General, and as U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia from 2006 to 2009.
In the private sector he was General Counsel of Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems and Deputy General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of General Motors. At Fox Corporation he was Executive Vice President and Chief Litigation Counsel from 2019 and Executive Vice President and General Counsel from 2021.
He joined ExxonMobil in May 2024 as Deputy General Counsel and became Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary on 1 July 2024.
