Professional Journey

Abd El Hak earned a BA in business administration from the American University in Cairo in 1996 and joined P&G on 6 June 1997 as an assistant brand manager for hair care in Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa, according to the company. He became brand manager for Ariel in the same region and, in 2000, brand manager for Tide and Mr. Clean laundry in Canada.

He moved into marketing leadership as associate marketing director for paper and home care in the same region in 2005, marketing director for fabric and home care there in 2008 and in Greater China in 2010, and marketing director for hair care in Asia Pacific, India, the Middle East and Africa in 2013.

In 2016 he became senior vice president of Feminine Care in Greater China, and in 2018 senior vice president of Feminine Care and North America brand franchise leader for Always pads and Tampax. From 2022 he was president of Feminine Care, a period in which P&G credits him with leading the acquisition and scaling of the This Is L brand.

He became president of Baby Care on 1 January 2026 and chief executive of Baby and Feminine Care in June 2026, when he was first elected an officer. P&G’s biography notes his support for the Always #endperiodpoverty and #likeagirl initiatives and says he serves on the board of trustees of the Cincinnati Art Museum.
