Professional Journey

Bharucha earned a BA in commerce and economics from Mumbai University and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, and joined P&G on 1 May 1995 as associate brand director for Ariel and strategic alliances, according to the company. He then held brand director roles in new business development, Greater China fabric care and global hand dish design.

From 2003 he worked in hair care, as senior brand director for Northeast Asia and then brand vice president for North America hair care in 2006 and Asia hair care in 2009. In 2011 he became senior vice president and chief marketing officer of P&G-Teva Health Care for Asia, the Middle East and Africa, and in 2013 senior vice president of that health care business for Asia, India, the Middle East and Africa.

In 2015 he became senior vice president and general manager of skin and personal beauty care in Greater China, and in 2018 of personal care in North America and global brand franchises, covering Old Spice, Secret and Safeguard. From 2023 he was president of Personal Care and North America Beauty Operations, a period in which P&G credits him with expanding Native into new channels and segments.

He became chief executive of Beauty in 2025, the year the 10-K records him as first elected an officer. He chairs the board of Zenlen Inc., the company behind Native that P&G acquired, and was vice chair of the Personal Care Products Council board from 2023 to 2025. P&G’s biography lists the R.V. Goldstein Brand Building Award for Old Spice in 2019, 2020 and 2021. Procter & Gamble, based in Cincinnati, reported net sales of $87.0 billion for the fiscal year ended 30 June 2026, according to its 10-K.
