Professional Journey

Gustafson built her career in brand and marketing leadership. Glossy lists Bark, Mindshare and Unilever on her CV. Happi reported that her most senior earlier role was global chief marketing officer of Weight Watchers International, where she led the company’s effort to build a global marketing practice.

She joined Nutrafol as Chief Marketing Officer. By then Unilever had acquired the brand for an estimated $1.2 billion, and Happi reported that it had tripled in size in the two years after the acquisition, including 40% year-on-year growth and a 70% rise in profit dollars in 2023. In December 2024 Nutrafol announced that she would become Chief Executive Officer from 1 January 2025. Founder Giorgos Tsetis, who had led the company since it launched in 2016, moved to Chairman of Nutrafol and strategic advisor to Unilever Wellbeing. Cosmetics Business reported that her aim was to extend the brand’s reach and strengthen its core product categories.

Glossy interviewed her in June 2026, after 18 months in the role. It reported that she had launched an app designed to improve customer retention and introduced a product for men over 50, one of the brand’s smallest customer groups. It also reported that Nutrafol achieved double-digit growth in 2025, her first full year as CEO, and was on a path to $1 billion in annual sales. Gustafson has kept the product range deliberately narrow, unlike competitors with hundreds of SKUs, and said the company had stayed “very, very grounded” in what customers need.
