Professional Journey
Miorin graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point and served as an infantry officer in the U.S. Army. In a 2025 interview on the CFO Thought Leader podcast he said he was commissioned shortly after 9/11 and led an infantry platoon in Iraq, and he described his later approach to finance as resting on four experiences: the Army, investment banking, corporate development and investor relations.
After the Army he moved into investment banking with Piper Jaffray and RBC, then into corporate roles at Ingersoll Rand, where he led global corporate development and later added investor relations. He took an MBA at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, and it was through the Kellogg network, he said, that he came to his first CFO role, at SpendHQ. SpendHQ sells spend analytics and procurement management software, and there he held the combined role of chief financial and chief operating officer.
That background fitted apexanalytix closely. The company, founded in 1988, sells supplier onboarding, supplier risk management and recovery audit services to large corporate procurement and accounts-payable functions. It has been majority-owned by KKR since a 2022 investment made alongside Carousel Capital. In September 2025 it announced an expansion of its executive team: four internal promotions and one external appointment, Miorin as Chief Financial Officer, with responsibility for integrating strategic finances with operational and commercial execution. He had already been introduced as apexanalytix’s CFO in a podcast published that August.
The company’s executive-team page now lists him as Chief Financial and Operating Officer, leading its finance and legal functions. He works under Peter Torrellas, who became chief executive in June 2026 when long-serving CEO Steve Yurko retired.
