Professional Journey

Halio earned a BA in business at Whittier College in 1995 and was a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer in Guatemala, providing micro-credit assistance to local women. She earned an MBA at Columbia Business School in 2000, after a summer in Goldman Sachs’s Credit Risk group in 1999, and rejoined that group in 2000, later leading its Americas Financial Institutions team. She was named managing director in 2009 and partner in 2016.

She was Chief Financial Officer of Goldman Sachs Bank USA from 2014 to 2018 and its Chief Executive Officer from 2018 to 2021, while also serving as Deputy Treasurer from 2019. She then led Investor Relations from 2021 and was Chief Strategy Officer from 2022.

In May 2024 she became Global Treasurer. She chairs the board of NeighborShare.
