Professional Journey

Compton-Phillips earned a bachelor’s degree at Johns Hopkins University and a medical degree at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, and is a board-certified internist.

She spent more than two decades at Kaiser Permanente in several leadership positions, including chief quality officer. In August 2015 she joined Providence as chief clinical officer, responsible for clinical operations, quality, pharmacy and clinical institutes across 51 hospitals and more than 1,000 clinics. In September 2022 she moved to Press Ganey as chief physician executive, guiding provider organisations and health plans through clinical transformation.
